Mrs. Townsend's Adventures in "Speducation"

Hello all,

My name is Marquita Townsend. I am a 2003 graduate of Lawrence County High School, a 2009 graduate from University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice, and a 2022 graduate of Jackson State University with a Masters in Teaching. I am the wife of Lorenzo Townsend. I have three wonderful children: Tre'Miya (16), Lorenzo (11), and Kylen (9).

I have worked in public education for 9 years, while 7 years in the Lawrence County School District. I have experience on the Elementary, Middle, and High School level. I enjoy teaching and helping children reach their highest potentials.

My hobbies are sports related activities with my children, shopping, and spending time with family and friends. I currently own a Beauty Salon where I spend my extra time enjoying and satisfying my clients. I look forward to continuing my career and helping supply the most efficient education possible for the children as they embark on their future journeys.

My duty is to help the exceptional children to learn and acquire necessary skills for their self-help, independent living and leading future life as properly as possible. Also, help them to acquire necessary social skills, emotional literacy to live and participate in school, home and community life as properly as possible.
